2003 Soul Beach Musical Festival
Stars spotted at Jamaica Me Krazy
Many of the Soul Beach Musical Festival found their way to Jamaica Me Krazy for food fix,
among them singer India Arie, the famed Grammy Award winner and star of the festival.
She came twice in person for lunch, on two consecutive days and asked for take out.
She loved Jamaica Me Krazy’s whole red snapper and couldn’t get enough of the restaurant’s
rice and peas, on her way back to USA she stop by to say good by and had her last fix in
addition a take out to board her flight and endorsed JMK cooking on a photo shot taken a
day earlier.

Obviously, the restaurant markets to the adventurous palate, also to lovers of soul food, natives
of the Caribbean islands.
India also loved the music and the portraits of Bob Nesta Marley, hanging on the restaurant
walls and expressed her wish to one day also become a legend.
Jamaica Me Krazy specializes in nicely marinated jerk everything Owner Danny Wilson
Reports Jerk coking is an old Jamaican tradition.
During the seventeen century when African hunters were brought to Jamaica enslaved by the
British masters, they also imported cooking, over fire in a closed, Smokey barbeque pit.
The food slow roasted over low coals, is pungent, hot. Sweet and spicy, all at the same
