Basic Instruction to Cook like a Jamaican
Jamaican cuisine recipe has never disclosed to the viewing audience by any given restaurant,
other than what the public has gathered from recipe books, we at JMK is disclosing some of
it’s secret for our patrons and others who have never taught that our secrets would be
revealed, these are some basic recipes that some of our patrons has repeatedly ask us for,
in fulfilling their wishes we have decided to entertain their request.

Jamaican Pepper Pot Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb Callaloo
12 Fresh Okras
12 cups water
1/2 lb salt beef
1/2 lb shin of beef
10 Cups water
1 can of coconut milk
1/2 lb Yam (peeled)
Crushed scallion
Small Scotch Bonnet (Whole)
Black pepper
Wash the callaloo then chop finely boils in water with the corned beef until beef is tender,
usually about 2 hours. Add the coconut milk, yam, okras, scallion, hot peppers, and black
pepper add additional water if necessary, simmer for 30 minutes soup should be ready to serve.
Served with Jamaican Festival.
